The Santa Cruz Baroque Festival presents
An All-Bach Organ Benefit Concert

Organist Bruce Sawhill plays the historic pipe organ at Holy Cross Church.
Bruce has played at Boomeria in Bonny Doon.

The program will feature masterworks of J.S. Bach, including the Passacaglia and Fugue in C Minor, the 'Jig' Fugue, and the Trio Sonata in C Major.

If you are interested in any of the fiber arts from around the world – we are too.  We spin, dye, knit, crochet, sew and felt according to who shows up.  We have some extra materials but always welcome donations that will go to our charity projects. If you have talent in other areas of the fiber arts, or just want to try something new, we would love to have you come.  Call Shirin at 427-3787.

Jim Cochron and the Swanton Berry Farm, presents "La Nostra Costa Day" an Event and Book Signing, featuring Ivano Franco Comelli, local author of "La Nostra Costa" (Our Coast), 'A Family's Journey to and From the North Coast of Santa Cruz 1923-1983'.  Through story and song, Mr. Comelli will re-create events and memories of 'Old' Santa Cruz, Davenport and the North Coast.  He will also be available for the signing of his book "La Nostra Costa".

Where: Swanton Berry Farm, 2 miles north of Davenport, on Hwy 1 at Swanton Road (approximately 60 miles south of San Francisco)

The Bonny Doon Gardeners will meet at the home of Nancy Lambing, 340 Country Estates Drive.  We will tour her flower and vegetable gardens, waterfall and Koi pond, and greenhouse.  Nancy's husband, Ed, is a member of the Santa Cruz Bonsai Club and will discuss the techniques of creating these works of art.  If you able to attend please let Nancy know at 469-0688.

11:00 am Ecological Reserve Volunteer Day

Meet by the old firehouse on Martin Road.  We will continue doing trail maintenance on the Outer Loop Trail.  Please bring hiking shoes, water, snack, and loppers for trimming back the shrubs growing along the trail.

If you would like to become a docent, learn more about the Reserve, or volunteer in any way, call Val Haley at 425-1587 (home) or 425-0687 (business).

Come in Costume. Games start at 5pm. Arrive early for best parking. Bring the whole family! Games, Food, Tee-Shirts and MUCH MORE!

If you haven't been in Santa Cruz for Halloween you are so missing something.  It's my favorite day there.  Do wear a costume.  Most shops offer trick or treats for children from 3 to 5 pm.

6:00pm: Halloween adults and teens downtown on Pacific Avenue:

It definitely gets scarier after dark.  Watch out for goblins of all shapes and sizes!
