The Bonny Doon Elementary School Parents Club is selling both water bottles and t-shirts as part of this years fund raising strategies.  The money earned goes to the Parents Club which sponsors school wide events like this month's Winter Social and the yearly Halloween Carnival.  Last year, the Parents Club was able to help the struggling music program.  Every fall, the Parents Club donates $300 to each teacher for field trips and school supplies. Water Bottles and T-shirts can be purchased at the Bonny Doon Elementary School office during school hours 8:30 to 3:00 Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday.  8:30 to 12:30 Wednesday. 	Winter Social March 10th, 2007 6:30 pm to 9:00 pm At Bonny Doon Elementary
The Parents Club is hosting a winter social in the form of another dance.  Please come dance to the music of the 1970's.  This is a great social vehicle to hook up with favorite families, to meet new families, and to spend an evening having fun with your children.  Friends, neighbors, and relatives are welcome too. Admission is $5.00 for everyone five years and older. ($20 Max per family) Treats, both savory and sweet, and beverages to share would be most appreciated (they will be served gratis. This is a great way to show case any specialty dishes – include a card with the name of the dish and who made it so we can track you down to tell you how yummy the food was – cakes, dips, cookies, cheese and fruit plates are just some ideas). Costumes welcome but not mandatory

The Bonny Doon Babysitting Co-op/Parents Club The co-op is reinventing itself.  Monthly pot-lucks were a bit too much for our busy Bonny Doon families.  However, having a directory of other Bonny Doon families is extremely important for establishing play dates or the original purpose of the co-op, exchanging babysitting services.  There are a lot of new families in Bonny Doon and it is sometimes hard meeting neighbors.  Please contact Aleene if you would like a directory of other Bonny Doon families and/or wish to be listed in the co-op directory, aleene10@comcast.net or 458-5238.

Saturday, March 31 11:00 am: Ecological Reserve Volunteer Day Meet by the Firehouse on Martin Road. Thanks to some of our local horse riders (Julie, Jenny and Michelle) who help maintain the trails. Today, we will be doing trail maintenance and removing invasive, non-native plants.  Please bring gloves, water, and a snack.  We typically work for about three hours. SPRING NATURE WALKS.  Val Haley will lead three walks that focus on the rare plants, ecology, and geology of the Reserve. The Saturday walks will be held May 5 and 19 and June 9. Signup early as there is a maximum 15 people per walk.  To reserve your spot, call Val at 425-0687, or send an email to Vegnet@cruzio.com.  We will meet at 11:00 am at the parking lot next to the old firehouse on Martin Road.  Bring hiking shoes, water, and a lunch.  The walks usually last about 2.5 hours.
